EDS for DG-300
Am planning to upgrade to an EDS unit.
Now have to think about where to mount the unit, type and size of bottle, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, |

EDS for DG-300

I have a ventus b and mount the EDS unit below the canopy on the right side with the controls facing me easily reachable with my hand. The unit mounts with "dual lock" plastic velcro like stuff, comes with the EDS. This also allows you to easily see the settings and turn off and on. The 4mm OD poly line from your regulator to the unit is low pressure 15 psi. I use RC Model rubber control rod guides to route the hose fixed to the sides of the glider with a drop of superglue. The cannula can be connect and place in the pouch. I have found will all oxygens systems you should get the largest bottle that can fit in you glider. If the bottle is hard to access, I would recommend a flex fill. Both of these save filling hassels. I have EDS oxygen systems on my website at competative prices. EDS for DG-300
I choose to mount the regulator box to the inside of the fuselage with
velcro just behind my right shoulder so I can turn my head and see the controls. This puts it completely out of the way but near my right ear so I can hear the beeping. To keep the tubing under control, I wrapped 2" self adhesive velcro fuzz tape around the tube full length and stuck 1" wide self-adhesive hook tape to the inside of the fuselage. The whole O2 system can be removed or re-installed in 5 minutes. The EDS has to be the easiest O2 system to install ever. Bill Daniels "Roy Clark, B6" wrote in message oups.com... EDS for DG-300

I've got a DG-600 same configuration as the 300. I mounted my EDS below the dump valves on the ledge by my right knee. Somewhat easy access you can reach it, see it and hear it.and it's not in the way. Use the good hard looped velcro so you can remove when needed. Run your tubing along the water dump cables and you can store the canula in the pockets on the right. I went to a 13 cu' aluminum bottle gives me about 10+ hours up on the Whites and Sierra's between 10k-18k. Russ |
