How old are Tiger Moth Aircraft.

The one I brought to the breakfast fly-in yesterday was
bult in 1945.

I'm headed out to Thun Field today in a Tiger that was built in 1939.

'Course, it's a little like that axe my granddad owned for eighty years.
Only had the handle replaced three times and the head twice.

Roger Freeman has a JN-4 Jenny, originally built in 1917.
That makes it about 97 years old.

It still has most of the original steel fittings (scads of them!),
but none of the original wood.

Make that 87 years......

If you're like me, you can't even count anymore without a
calculator. The good news is that they can be had for a
buck at Dollar Tree. Keep one in every room.

There is a full blown computing machine right here in fromt
of me. Calculator won't help much if I don't use it...

So call it 13 years until it's 100 years old?
Somebody check my arithmetic!

Richard

I think it makes the airplane 86 years old. Its first birthday was in
1918..........
