The Seattle Glider Council C-182 has a TOST release installed according to their board minutes from April, 2012. http://www.seattleglidercouncil.org/...nutes_0412.pdf Contact Steve Northcraft for more details. |

The good news is that it is much easier to get a 337 approved when it is based upon "approved data" such as the Cessna drawing linked above. This should be almost a non issue as a reviewing FAA inspector only has to verify conformance to data and does not have to make any judgments. They HATE to make judgements. UH |

Why do you need a 337 if you are only install installing factory parts per factory drawings? You aren't modifing anything, just installing optional original equipment.
As I understand it this only requires a logbook entry by an A&P. If you have to owner produce the parts, I don't think that changes anything as long as you can reasonably certify they match the factory drawing. Brian |

Brian My read is that this is installation instructions for a Schweizer hitch not produced or provided by the factory. In any case it is an alteration where a 337 would be appropriate. UH |

Would not DAR be Abilene to sign off on tow, install and newer drawings. I believe there is a new towhook being developed by a USA company.
