The placing of the main unit relative to the control head is a very
variable distance - I have done one on a ragwing microlight where it was 6 inches, and another on a 3-axis where it was 10 feet. The kit includes the connectors, but leaves the installer to join the dots with appropriate cable. AFE in UK includes providing a harness of customer defined length (plus the antenna cable) in the base price. You need a professional (expensive) crimp tool to use the factory supplied aviation standard D connectors - you can use solder bucket ones for reduced reliability, which is why getting it done properly by the supplier is a good idea. TRIG TT21NOW IN STOCK
Hi Al,
The TT21 comes with all the required connectors. But the connectors require the use of a crimping tool to connect the wires to the pins. I offer a pre-wired wiring harness made by Larry Goddard in 2 lengths: 0.5m and 3m. Custom lengths are available upon request. Best Regards, Paul Remde Cumulus Soaring, Inc. "Al" wrote in message ... The TT 21 does come with connectors and installation kit but not cables, the
connectors are simple crimp types and can be done with rather unsophisticated crimp tools but I also offer a very low cost soldered cable set for the TT21 for those who buy the transponders. 2' cables will be standard, but optional custom harnesses to longer lengths available with rather short delays. Please see my website for options and prices. I also offer several other harnesses for radios an other transponders, usually from the manufacturers of the respective equipment but will be offering similar sets made here by a professional electronics manufacturer..all with Aircraft grade Tefzel wire. tim Please visit the Wings & Wheels website at www.wingsandwheels.com "Al" wrote in message ...
