Default HKS 700E Engine Reviews?

Is anybody on the list using the two cylinder (4-stroke) HKS 700E
engine? It's about the perfect size for an upcoming project (Georgias
Special) and I'm wondering about its reliability, toughness, etc.
compared to say a 1/2 or full VW. The original Georgias used 28 HP, so
a 1/2 VW would work and a full VW or even the HKS would provide more
power than really necessary. I like the idea of some sort of 2 cylinder
engine (4 stroke!!) to keep the looks as original as possible and to
find something approximately the same weight as the original engine (122
pounds). All comments appreciated!
