Default pc simulator with Garmin GPS?

Anybody know of a PC flight simulator that has full flight controls
combined with a GNS-430 or 530? I have Garmin's 430 simulator without
flight controls, and On Top with controls and a 1990 GPS unit that
doesn't have approach fixes in the database. It'd be nice to have both
in one package.

Reality-XP ( http://www.reality-xp.com ) has an add-on to Microsoft
Flight Simulator which allows the integration of Garmin's 530 simulator
engine with FS2004. I have the package and it works great for me. You
get the identical user interface of the real thing.

I have the Garmin 530 integrated into FS 2002. This integration was
written by someone who no longer does it. His first version would couple
to FS 2002's nav mode, thus the autopilot would follow the Garmin 530
active flight plan rather than the FS GPS flight plan. But, his second
version lost that coupling capability.

Will this one you are using couple to the autopilot? Nothing about that is
mentioned on the web site. Also, I presume you're stuck with Garmin's
August, 2002 nav database?

In the version for FS2004, the autopilot can follow the flight plan in
the GPS. The flight plan must be entered into the GPS as you would
with the real thing, i.e. by pushing (simulated) buttons rather than
the FS "flight planner" feature.

I don't think you can update the nav database for the simulator.

X-Plane also has a limited functionality Garmin GNS430/530 available. For
the most complete GPS features, though, you would be best served by getting
Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2004 with the Reality XP GPS add-on, as
mentioned elsewhere in this thread.
