Default Wireless external GPS antenna for iPad/mini devices

Does anyone have suggestions for the best wireless external GPS antennas for iOS devices, iPad, iPhone, etc.? I'd like to try iGlide running
on my iPad mini.
Thanks,

Steve

If your iPad mini does not have the internal GPS, I.e. It's a wifi only model, I have the Air2 in the same configuration.
I use Bad Elf Pro via Bluetooth connection for the GPS input.

I have not tested, but I believe the Nano Data logger will also connect via Bluetooth. Using Bluetooth in the nano decreases battery life by 1/2 according to the manual.
I run ForeFlight on the Air2 with the Bad Elf GPS data for powered flying.
I connect my nano to Oudie for glider.

Hi Steve,

I just bought a GPS-Logger for my new iPad-Mini2 at Amazone for 83 EURO:
"GNS Navilock GPS/GLONASS 2000 BT f.iPhone/iPad incl. Logger"
I just checked the logger during a 3,5 hour flight in my Banjo - worked fine!

Best regards from Germany

Hi Bill and Klaus, thank you for the input. The Nano idea may be the solution as this nav setup is for my 1-26 and I've been using the Nano for
Logger and GPS input for my Compaq Aero 1550. The iGlide is such a nice display on the iPad mini. I had forgotten that the Nano has Bluetooth.
Klaus, where are you from in Germany? I flew F-16s at Hahn from '84-'87 and learned to fly gliders at DASC above Traben-Trarbach. Loved it there!

Hi Bill,

Aviators world is indeed very small.
I live in Ober-Ramstadt, 15km east of Darmstadt and I fly in Bensheim (Bergstrasse/Odenwald).
Last fiofe years, I organized trsnsition-courses for Ultralight-Soaring in Bad Sobernheim, only few km southeast of Hahn.
Just visit my website "ul-segelflug.de" and you will find everything about it.

Best regards from Germany

Klaus

As you probably know the iPad version with cellular data has a GPS chip that works even if yo have not activated the cell data. So you only need GPS data if your iPad is wifi version only.
