Default Anyone Been to the Hangar Hotel?

....In Frederick, Texas?

We're thinking about checking them out, and seeing what we can
steal....

(In the way of IDEAS, not the towels!)

It's in Fredericksburg, TX at Gillespie County Airport: (T82)
website http://www.hangarhotel.com/.

I've been to the cool 50's style dinner right next to it, both are ON
airport, in former hangers (in fact the restaurant is attached to a
"still a hanger grin" did not venture into the hotel though. Looks
great from the outside for an aviation buff.

I dont know how long it would take you to fly from Iowa, but there is
quite a bit to do in Fredericksburg especially for the shopping minded,
also 10 or 12 wineries, great German food, the Nimiz Museum, etc. Fly
on down and stay a day or three...

FredericksBURG, Texas.

I have been in the lobby but not stayed the night. The decor and
demeanor is very nice, partly owing to the fact that it was "brand new"
construction. I have eaten at the diner and it was very good.

The town is an excellent tourist draw, lots to see, do, and eat.

We have stayed at the Fredericksburg Brewing Company,
http://www.yourbrewery.com/, highly recommended also.

They need to move those menus over to the left - they're off the screen to
my right.

If your screen resolution isn't high enough, your browser should be
providing a slider-bar to allow you to move over to the right-hand-side of
the page. Both IE and Netscape 7.2 have no trouble seeing the right side at
low resolutions.

IE 6.0 and FX1.5 800x600 screen setting.

Yes, slide-bar needed to see the menu options. I disapprove.

It's an easy day flight... I made the flight between C17 and Houston or New
Orleans a few times and they would have ended during daylight if I hadn't
been one for not getting up early... In my plane, it's a single refueling
stop on the way up there...

But the web pages have enough typos to gratify the most junior proofreader
amongst us.

Let's start a list and send it to them.

Jay, if you're looking for ideas to rip off then Do It Right & pick up
this month's "Air & Space" magazine (pg. 37 bottom right), you really
need a duplicate of the "Hanger 7 Threesixty" bar .

H.
