When the RAF or/and RN first participared in Red Flag in 1977, they had
their Buccaneer (Naval (carrier based) strike aircraft, two seats. First flight 1958, entered service 1962). Someone wrote: "There was a film at the end of the Excercise. At least on of the segments with a Bucc sreaming across the range ends with the Camera being knocked off it's mount as the shock wave from the Bucc and the F-15 on it's tail broke the sound barrier. There was also footage of the Vulcan screaming across the desert at about 200 feet off the deck!" Anyone saw the whole film? |
