the back three birds in the righthand (as the birds are flying) diamond
appear to be Chinese CJ-6. And I'm kinda wondering if the Dak might
actually be a Lisunov Li-2, a Russian copy of the Immortal Douglas?

What are the spotting features that lead you to identify them as
CJ-6's? Again, I'm unfamiliar with that plane, and so I'd really like
to know.

I examined my other images, but none had the "Dak" close enough to
give you any more info. Are there any telltale features,
spotter-wise?

Not real obvious in your photo, but the Yak (-50 and -52) has a very curvy
vertical stabilizer while the CJ-6 has a rather angular fin. The wings
are also quite different,which you can get a sense of in your photo.

More a semi-educated wild-arse guess... One, what would a C-47 be doing
in a formation of eastern block aircraft; and two, I seem to recall an
actual Li-2 has visited Oshkosh on at least one occasion in the past
couple years - perhaps it is back?

Depending on the model of Li-2, very little to fairly obvious differences
were visible - different engines, window arrangements, gun turret on top -
that kind of stuff. This web site has some useful information:
