Hi all

Whats the JSF's weight for each varient.

I have found several sources stating 27,500 as the Empty weight of the
F-35A, some other non quotable sources say upto 29,000lbs for the
F-35A.
Does anyone have a definitive guide?.

BTW I also believe the F-22 has a fuel load of around 19,000lbs and an
empty weight of around 40,000lbs (42,000lbs from some un quotable
sources).

Can anyone help

Cheers

Any spelling mistakes/grammatic errors are there purely to annoy. All
opinions are mine, not TAFE's however much they beg me for them.

The weight of the JSF is an ever-changing quantity. There are focused
efforts underway to reduce the weight. I cannot quote exact numbers,
but I can tell you that any numbers you find today are likely to change
tomorrow.

Flight International published 26K for the F-35A empty weight and AIAA
has published 33-34K for the F-22.
