I doubt that. They are in the leadership business these days. The usual
procedure is for folks in their positions to place their assets in a blind
trust--hard to say what their money is invested in. If you can prove
otherwise, of course, go right ahead--otherwise, you are just lying as
usual.

Concur with Acharya: check out strategypage.com/dls-they've got quite a few
articles that menion just that: AQ has taken plenty of casualties in Iraq,
they've found that the Iraqis despise them and rat them out whenever possible-how
else is the U.S. getting the intel to take out specific houses where AQ types
are meeting/using as safehouses? The religious differences between AQ and
the Shiites and Kurds also make things interesting, as does the Iraqis' lack
of enthuasism for the jihad. Sooner or later, Zarquari and his goons get
their just desserts, and when they go, so should the insurgency from that
end. There's still the Saddam loyalists, and unfinished business with Al-Sadr-but
the last time he tried something, he was burned big time, with several thousand
of his followers greased. And the locals in Najaf despised him for taking
over the shrines there. Not a good way to win support, is it? He's also mentally
unstable, and the other clerics don't like him at all. Most of the country
is quiet, but calm doesn't sell papers, magazines, or get ratings for the
news networks....
