View Full Version : HSI Heading Flag - Help

Last week my HSI Heading flag stayed up on startup and the 'Comp'ass
'Sys'tem Circuit breaker popped. The remote gyro power supply went out. A
few days later (& many bucks lighter) I had a rebuilt remote gyro. Oh,
well. It's all about money, I mean flying.

I've since taken two trips, 3 hours each, but NOW the same flag appears (NAV
goes away, HDG stays out) but the circuit breaker is ok.

Any ideas?? I checked the connection in the rear for the remote, appears
okay.

Vic, do you know the manufacturer of your HSI? That will help with
troubleshooting suggestions.

King KCS55A, maybe?

Sorry: King KNS81 Also, the GNS530 Gps is communicating. It tells you to
change to the next heading and centers the CDI when you reset course
deviation.

What is your HSI? KI525A? NSD360? Don't need to know your Nav Receiver.

This helps.
