I see that the FAA has issued an AC

which permits installing a second AI instead of a Turn Coordinator as long
as it is powered differently than the primary one.
This would leave you without a ball though. I can't remember looking at the
TC but I wouldn't want to fly without the ball.
Does anyone make an AI with a ball or would you have to bolt an aftermarket
ball unit to the panel?
