Yup! The boom/nacelle chin intakes have the smaller opening and swept
back look of the P-38E through to P-38H and the "Lightning MkI & MkII".
The P-38J & P-38L had the large chin intake for the new intercoolers.

We would enjoy, bicycling up Cap Sante to watch the P-38's strafing the
cloth targets hanging on the rock banks of Hat Island.
Anyone have any recollections of this group at Paine Field?
