Anyone know what solvent is safe to use on the markings on my glider?
There are some spots to be removed on the red nose markings.
I've removed some old lettering off the gelcoat with Acetone and
lacquer thinner, so I know those will destroy the markings. The
lettering may be lacquer.

The relatively gentle solvent I use a lot of is denatured alcohol. But
test it on an unobtrusive spot first.

If you are trying to clean the painted areas, try a cleaner/wax such as the
Wx Block/Seal system, or Stahlfix. Otherwise 3M adhesive remover is mostly
Benzine and works well.
Always try a little spot first!
