Oratex

Has anyone used Oratex to cover a glider here?
If so what was your experience both in applying and then the finished
product compared to the traditonal way.

I have a K6 wing that I am about to cover.

I have no experience with it but have used most of the other processes. I know it’s quite a bit more expensive then anything else.

This looks very promising for fabric covered gliders, very light and easier to use then other systems. Keep in mind tho that if your glider is certified (vs. experimental) it will need a basis of approval, either an STC or a field approval. Might want to check with Oratex to see if anyone has gotten an approval for there K6.
