Be careful.
I have had no end of trouble, over the years, with
shrinkage of 'Tessa' self-adhesive tape sealing the
ailerons of an Open Cirrus - towards the end of each
season, reducing travel by 20% or more.
I suppose that you could try pre-shrinking the material
(by boiling it) first - but measure the control surface
deflections regularly if you decide to proceed.
