Hello -

Our Symtec pan heater has bit the big one, and we need a replacement.
Unfortunately, the model we have is prior to them implementing the feature
where you can detach a replaceable element from the mounting plate. And the
mounting plate is secured to the block with some thermally conductive 'JB
Weld' looking stuff that looks pretty stout.

How much of a PITA is it to remove the mounting plate? Has anyone had the
opportunity to do this?

TIA -

Check with the people who make pan heaters such as Tanis or Reiff.
They might be able to suggest a way to remove the old heater without
hammer and chisel.
