Is there a way - an easy way hopefully - to have TFRs display on Google Earth?

Answering my own question: I plotted the corners of the Bobcat TFR on Google Earth and then connected the corners with a red line. Not quick but did the job.

I have used this GE plugin for a number of years with good results http://www.2ld.de/tfr2kml/

SkyVector (online charts and flight planning website) has TFRs plotted in a timely manner. No user action required.
skyvector.com
Other formats found here: <http://soaringdata.info/tfrs/tfrs.php>, including .kml for Google Earth.

Yes, I use skyvector and like it a lot. For this particular case I was looking for more ground detail that the sectional chart in skyvector provides.

As GliderCZ pointed out, my website at http://www.soaringdata.info does this.
- Select the TFRs tab
- Follow the link to the query form
- Enter a center airport and a radius to define the area of interest
- select Google Earth KML format for the output
.... and download a KML file containing all the TFRs in the area that can be opened in Google Earth.
It is all free and freely redistributable.

The Google Earth app I have installed on my iMac has a ool that enables drawing circles of known radius. I used the drawing tool to put concentric glider rings around my home airport and designate Class C & D airspace nearby.. Send a message to smanley at wisc dot edu and I'll reply with an image attachment.

Another option would be to use an image capture function to take a picture of the Google Earth screen, then import the image into a Microsoft Office app (Excel or Word) and use the MS drawing tools to add in the TFR. Then capture that image.

Scott :
The airspace depiction is another thing that SoaringData.Info will do for you. Just download allusa.kml on the airspace tab at http://soaringdata.info. Or you can just check the "Add ATC-controlled airpspace" box when you do the TFR query I described above.
