View Full Version : Memorial Day weekend ruined

May 31st 05, 06:30 PM
All day long heard private plane noise, couldn't
have my usual barbaque outside, drove me crazy.
Had to go inside, cook ribs inside with loud music
playing to drown out the plane noise.

May 31st 05, 06:33 PM
Same here!!! Those little planes drove me crazy too!
Some were flying way to low to be legal. I heard them
ALL DAY LONG!!!

It's a big conspiracy to drive you nuts (if it wasn't for the fact it's the
wrong tense)

Same thing here. I'm out mowing the lawn while there are planes flying
overhead. By the time I got to my plane, the T-storms had started.

bummer.......

Me too! Man they were loud!! Sounded like an engine on each side of me!
Like they were only 6 feet away! Drove me crazy! Thought I would go
deaf!!!....
Then I synched the props and turned on the ANR on my Lightspeeds and all was
well.

hand jerking each other off...

Now I have some time today to make some noise on Usenet today then I am
going to go fly my airplane!!!!! Where is your house?

Oh!!! Why did you buy or in your case rent a house by an airport? That
airport was probably there before you were even born. What about your
Neighbors that don't like loud music! I have a idea do us and your parents a
favor why don't you go lock your self inside your little box and retroactive
abort yourself! People like you don't disserve to share my air!

Yeah, all of us here on the newsgroups decided to have a huge memorial day
weekend fly-in at Palo Alto. Might do an even bigger one on the 4th.

Complaints about what?

Does it matter?

If enough people complain that he's a jerk, eventually his boss will slap
him.\

He appears to be doing this on company time.

Do you own National Semi-conductor stock? He's stealing from the company.
He's being paid to work, not complain about airplane noise.

A little thin skinned are we? Be careful what you ask for since you might
just get it. More than likely, for every one person who complains about
aircraft noise while using company computers there are hundreds more who are
making positive aviation posts. Cut off one and you have to cut off them
all.

I think it/they should be trolling on their own time/dime...

I remeber a while back a developer put houses along one side of a hog farm,
only to then start complaining that the hog farm smelled like, well, a hog
farm. It all got dragged through the courts and in this case the farmer who
had been in business for years won out. Little sympathy for the people who
complained.

The same should be true of people who build or buy near airports, there is a
strong possibility of aircraft.

This is one of those "one person's noise is another's music" issues, eh,
Michelle?

Hey Steve,

The skies were crowded. Probably would have saw ya. Me and Faith snuck
in an hour in Gregg's plane Monday just before the big stuff started
building up.

Spray well with soap before departure. Bring it back, nice and shiny.

Mine's reached the point where it's past time for a good belly
degrease. I spilled about a spoonfull of oil the last oil change.

You're right.

In fact, in reaction to your suggestion I have just severely chastised
myself for posting on company time, and had myself sign a letter of
reprimand that will be placed in my permanent file.

One more transgression like that, and I'll be looking for another job!

Well, you and roger should seek psychiatric help immediately so
you can sort out all the voices in your head. Can you say Sybil?

Don't forget to authorize a serious severance check (think PC-12) before you
fire yourself.

OK, guys, it's almost time for my 4th of July
weekend, and I'm going outside to bbq. So please
don't fly below 1500 feet, so I can enjoy myself
without all that small plane noise.

Thanks in advance.

Well screw you! I was going to arrange with the Blues, who are
personal friends of mine, to come do an airshow just for you and your
bbq guests, but now that you've shown what a sorehead you are, I'm not
going to do it!

So there!

BTW, do you have room for one more? I'll bring a sixpack.
