Hi all,

Thinking of buying a MiniDV camcorder for use in the aircraft to record
instructional sessions.

Does anyone (Jim Weir, perhaps?) know how I can (easily) connect
headphone output audio (thus incorporating radio and intercom audio)
into a camcorder microphone input?

Thanks for any help,

-Doug

This has been answered so many times it isn't funny. Rat Shack has a cable.
Google and you will find half a hundred hits.

Well whaddya know. Didn't try google first because for all the many
years I've been reading rec.aviation.* I *never* saw a single mention of
it. Seriously.

For the benefit of googlers, it appears that Spruce has a part that
should do the trick:

PATCHCORD COCKPIT
VOICE RECORDER

P/N 13-01456 * $24.95

Thanks for the reply.

I have a $100 cellset cellphone adapter that can serve this purpose. Not
the cheapest, but it is one option of many.

WAY too expensive. I think the Rat Shack cable is less than $10.

You can make one for less than $10.00 and it will be far superior quality &
durable to boot. All radio sha*k items suck they are cheap better items can
be found on ebay for 1/8th the cost.

If you want it really simple put a small external microphone into the
earpiece of your headset!
