I thought you folks might get a kick out of the reaction of the fellow who
will be staying with us during EAA. Here's some of what he's written (with
his permission):

HOLY COW!!!!!! i don't believe it. i've been dreaming about going and just
never find a room. oh wowowowow. i'm not sure how we're getting there but
we're getting there if i have drive out there. I'm so excited I can barely
write.

As far as my comments about Tom Poberezny's pay and nepotism, you all make
good points. I'll concede that one to you. I still think it's really nasty
how they acquired some of their property, but that's all water under the
bridge now. In the meantime, let's all have a wonderful get-together and
airshow. I'm looking forward to meeting you all. How's the best way to
find you guys? Wednesday evening at Jay's Pathfinder, but how's the best
way to find it? Just start walking through the North Forty?
GOOD NEWS!!!! My wife Janet was just offered a postion at University of
Wisconsin-Green Bay this morning! Yaaaay!

Check in with the main N40 info shack - where the school buses turn around.
They'll give you his row #.
Some have suggested doing that before the airshow is over (6:00-ish)
because, by then, the staff might have closed up for the day. Maybe you
could swing up during the morning or early afternoon to get the info - just
in case.

And, thanks to Montblack's timely reminder, this year we will have our
newly modified (so that it actually says "Iowa City, Iowa" on it)
20-foot-long "Alexis Park Inn & Suites" banner "flying" at our
campsite!
Hard to miss -- unless the daily thunderstorm wraps it around the
landing gear again...

What did it say before? I must have had too many of those "ground softeners"
that Mary recomended....

Sir, trust me, you DON'T want to give that sort of straight line to this
group of perverts.
"Position" ... doggie, missionary, peach-basket, ..."
You get the drift of this group?

Well, it said everything except what city we were from!
When we had the banner made, it was for local events (pancake breakfasts,
parades, etc.) -- thus, why say "Iowa City, IA"?
Well, at OSH (and several other venues) it soon became obvious that it
should tell everyone what city the hotel was located in -- and Montblack
kindly sent me an email reminder to have "Iowa City, Iowa" added to the
banner before OSH this year.
Which I just did!

How about a "teaching position" and I'll see what you can imply by that!
ALWAYS willing to "learn,"

That I would never teach, but students (or pilots) with Emotional

I should be at the party we Wed. night and we can talk. I don't even
charge a consulting fee to Rec.aviators!! BTW anyone available to give
me a ride back to Vintage after the party. Ron has to come back home to
work during the weekn and won't be at the party, and I don't walk long,
desolated walks alone at night (too much city living!).

I might be able to arrange a golf cart ride, for the price of walking to the
nearby Explorers base camp. <g> It is located next to the CAP barracks.

Ah, yes. (Assume faux French accent...)

....forty or so drunk rec.aviation nutcases...

Naw, you would probably let her sleep under the wing.
Then she would wake up in the middle of the night wonder where she was.
When she tried to stand up, she would hit her head.
Then what would you do?
