I saw an Ad in TAP this week for a Comanche with a "water in fuel"
detector. Anybody know anything about this - where it resides, how it
works, who sells it?
It seems to me it could be a valuable tool, but a lot would depend on
where the sensor is located.

It works real well. I got one in mine but the company went out of
business and spare parts etc cannot be found. I don't even know if a
"bust" one can fixed...

Mr. Weir was working on something similar
http://www.rst-engr.com/rst/articles/KP89SEP.pdf. In his article he mentions
the dielectric of fuel is 1.94, gasohol is 25 and water is 78. Should be
able to rig it to detect fuel quality instead of quantity.
