ABC News reported this evening that 100 TSA employees did not show up
for work at the Houston airport today.

gee... any bets they live in the hurricane threat area and are evacuating
their families..
I bet that no one complained that their favorite resturant or movie house
was closed.

Not even the news media will give them a break..

Well, there were 237 little old ladies that didn't get strip searched.

Yes, but they also reported that Continental and Southwest suspended
flights at noon, and American pulled up stakes last night at 7PM.

Seems like we could send a bunch of C141's in there and clean out
the place.

I thought all but a handful of C-141's had been chopped up?

Yep. The last active duty Starlifter was retired on 9/14/04. The last ANG
C-141 will be retired in 2006.

Small correction. The ANG is not flying the C-141's, its the Air Force
Reserves, and only one Wing, the 445th out of Wright Patterson Air
Force Base. And will all be retired by mid 2006.
