(note the term "annual" and not merely "annual inspection")
Well, my cherokee 140 has survived another year. The annual started
Thursday at about 11:30am and we tucked the airplane back in
the hangar at 4pm Friday.
The downside being I was unable to assist with this annual due
to post-surgery limitations. :-(

dang, so I'm merely average.

How long does it take for the ribs to heal after chest surgery?
It's 9 weeks and counting...
But, yes, everything seems to be going ok. Thanks

ah, well, given how much money and time I spent on the airplane
from July 2002 to Feb 2003 (everything, I mean everything firewall
forward was removed and overhauled or replaced with new), I think
I won't complain about nice short easy happy annuals. I think I deserve
a few.

(In Darth Vadar's voice:) "You think you are being
treated....unfairly?"
In my experience, "fairness" and "airplane ownership" are diametrically
opposed when it comes to maintenance costs. True, staying on top of
maintenance is usually going to save you money in the long run, but,
dang, if some stupid things just don't BREAK once in a while, for no
apparent reason.
Glad you got away with a cheap annual...but I don't ever count on it!
:-)
