I am in the market for a 135 operation. I am finding out that going
through the FAA would take about a year and I don't have the time to
wait that long. If anybody has one for sale or knows someone that is
thinking about selling it, let me know.

Thanks
Aaron

I have long range plans to get a 135 certificate
as well, mostly as a business to occupy my
retirement years. I've read the advisory circulars
and once I understood the overall process, I came to
realize that getting a new 135 certificate is a lot of work
with many obstacles to overcome.

I've also thought about the process of buying an
existing 135 operation and was wondering if anyone
here has been through that process. If so, what were
the steps and the challenges to buy and continue operating
an existing 135 operation? I would assume it would be
easier if the 135 operation is an on-going multiple pilot
operation with the associated operations and maintenance
manuals, and where the majority of the personel and aircraft
does not change with the change in ownership.

I would think that a single-pilot, single-aircraft, dormant
135 operation would need quite a bit of work to get
operating again with a change in pilot, maintenance
personel and aircraft.

Comments from someone that has been through this
would be interesting to hear.
