I'm looking at an airplane, Beech M35, that has a 480 already installed.
I downloaded the manual and the simulator. The simulator crashes. I
also noticed that it pushes my CPU up to 100% usage. My computer is a
newer 1.8GHz with more than 2G of ram. I can't find any instructions
on the simulator. I searched for some leads but I can't find anything.
Any ideas?

thanks

Yup, it's buggy as hell. That's one reason why I couldn't convince the
rest of our club to buy it instead of the 530 - nobody could try it out
without the sim crashing.

I have it running on two different PC's. One using Windows 2000 and the
other on XP. I agree that it is a resource hog - slows down everything
else, and will occasionally lock up if the screen saver kicks in while it's
running. I don't have any suggestions on how to make it run better. I like
the 430 simulator better, with its additional controls and indicators.

The simulator is not multiprocessor safe. Shut off multiple processors
or hyperthreading if you want it to work.

Thanks Ron. That did it.
