My GNS 430's message says my Memory Battery is low. What is the procedure to
change this and what is the cost?

Thanks

$1500+. Send it back to Garmin for the WAAS upgrade.

Seriously, I think you just take it to a Garmin dealer. Surely it is a
field-replaceable item. But it wasn't in my Northstar M3, had to send it to
Canada for replacement of the battery.

It was a little over $250+ labor to have the battery replaced in one
of my KLN94s when it got low. I needed to find an instrument shop
with appropriate bench privileges to do it though (the avionics shop I
use is a FRS, so it has to be in the opspec for them to be able to do
it I guess). Not sure about how Garmin works it though.
