Ever seen Stan Piel's book on the Martin Seamaster? Excellent stuff on how
they would have supported the squadrons. Beautiful plane, too. BTW, if you
want to see a Sea Dart, one is at the San Diego Aerospace Museum. Definitely
worth the trip. One of my favorite things is taking the harbor cruise- good
views of North Island and lots of traffic out of Lindbergh Field.
A lady I used to work with's parents live on Coronado- she met people like
Pappy Boyington growing up. Lots of old line Navy families and WW2 widows
living there in the 60's.
