to the conclusion that the most precise bombing in the ETO in 1944 was being
done by a specific Marauder Group. Don't know which one, I'm afraid

It was accurate by WWII terms, which wasn't terribly precise. A lot
depended on what altitude they bombed from. The original notion was
that light and medium bombers attacked from low level, and that was
often done in the Pacific theater. Against the German flak that proved
a very costly notion, so they were moved up as high as they could go,
which was about 12,000 feet. At that height accuracy suffered.

But Art wasn't the only person who flew in WW2. Other people flew as well -
some may still be around, some will have recorded their experiences.
