Does anybody have a working antenna for an Apollo GX55 that I can borrow for
a week or two. I'm having an intermitent problem and I'd like to eliminate
the antenna. As far as I can tell, it can be either one of the original A-33
(square) or A-34 (teardrop) or the Comant 420-220 (teardrop). All I know is
an active GPS with a 26.5dB gain.
The Comant 420-221 is a 17dB gain antenna.
I've been told that the GA56 is supposed to work but it has 17dB gain.
Of course, if you have conflicting information, I'd like to hear it. I have
never seen specs on the A-33/A-34. Garmin/AT was very helpful but far from
definitive in their answers.
