I don't know about that. There have been rumors for some time, backed up by
aerial photos that have been in the public domain, that indicate that pipelines
from the Iraqi oil fields to Kuwait are either active or under construction.
And there have been riots in Iraq because the locals claimed that the oil was
being stolen.
On top of that, CNN reported a few weeks ago that the Bush administration was
admitting that something on the order of $250K of oil a day was vanishing and
they didn't know where.
I don't know how much more evidence you would want, but we invaded Iraq with a
lot less evidence.

Even if oil pipelines are under construction into Kuwait, where else do
you think they should build pipelines *to*? It has the closest good
port for shipping oil, along with some good refineries. You think they
should just keep dealing with Syria and Jordan, or maybe run a pipeline
across the border to Iraq?

There have also been riots in Iraq because people thought US soldiers
were using X-ray sunglasses to look through the clothes of Iraqi women.
They also believe that our guys are all wearing refrigeration units
underneath their body armor to keep cool...

It's the same old smuggling situation that has existed in Iraq ever
since the embargo was started. There's probably a couple of small
pipelines running out to the Syrian border, or someone is just
overestimating the amount of normal production.

You consider two rumors and one report about bootlegged oil to be
"evidence" that the US is taking the oil? Compared to years and years
of Iraq blowing off multiple UN resolutions and supporting terror across
the world?
Reality check time.

Well, it's an *informed* opinion, as opposed to whatever it is you seem
to have.

Well Bubba ... I don't know you from Adam, but I know my own background and
connections, which I'm quite comfortable with. And I've seen the BS from our
supposedly "informed" president and crew who seem to be shocked and amazed to
discover that Shiites are the best organized political faction in the country
that they have overthrown (that "oops ... we forgot to consider that" factor).
You may be alright, but with the attitude that you are displaying and based on
what I know about you right now, I'm giving your opinions the same weight that
I give some of our retarded (literally) biker bar political commentators.
btw, the brain damaged ones agree with you. So at least you have some company
;)

....that's twice you've called me "Bubba," which seems to be a problem on
your part.
And while I'm sure that your "background and connections" are quite
impressive in your own mind, they're pretty useless here unless you can
come up with concrete examples (instead of the two rumors and a guess in
your first post).
> You may be alright, but with the attitude that you are displaying
Tell me about it, "Bubba." And with that "whines" thing above, it just
shows that you had nothing of importance to say in the first place, and
that you had to fall back on junior-high level insults before ever
managing to give any proof of your guesswork and false claims...
(Rest of childidh insults deleted)

....quoth the guy who started this thread with a stupid idea (see title),
followed up with a complete lack of any evidence to support it, claims
that his "background and connections" let him know better than any
actual evidence, then finishes off with a bunch of insults.
Yeah, that killfiling really has some sting to it.
Of course, it lets me make all sorts of fun, the next time this idiot
tries to post anything outside of his normal haunts...
