Taking the airplane to the Cessna Service Center at Pensacola this week for
the first time. Here's the list:

o Install Garmin software updates just received from Cessna.

o Repair fuel leak at tank hatch screw on top of wing.

o Replace missing rubber step pad on left l. g. strut. (Departed in
flight.)

o Adjust autopilot roll axis to eliminate oscillation in light
turbulence.

o Repair beacon gaskets to eliminate water leak; replace bulb.

o Adjust passenger door latch to allow easier closing from inside.

o Reconfigure/repair transponder to clear "TRANSPONDER FAIL, XPDR
CONFIG - XPNDR1 config error." " Config service req'd." alert and "TRAFFIC
FAIL - Traffic device has failed" alert.

o Diagnose & repair PFD to eliminate "MFD1 KEYSTK - MFD1 joystick in key
is stuck" alert.

The transponder was DOA on startup the morning we left for OSH. No radar
service all the way there and back. Garmin offered no help at all. Finally,
a very helpful Cessna salesman hooked me up with a shop near Chicago, but we
couldn't get in there Thursday morning due to weather.

It's not new. It has ~200 hobbs hours on it.

I'm told by people on the Cessna Pilots Assn. that the free software
revision/upgrade I just got from Cessna will fix the xponder problem. The
other stuff is pretty minor.

Turns out my local avionics shop is authorized to do the G1000 warranty work,
so that's where the G1000 is getting fixed - today, they tell me.

What model year? I like the new Garmin s/w in the 07's lots of bugs worked
out. now only if they can solve the problem of using soft keys in turbulence
and keeping from hitting an unknown sequence of buttons hahahaha....
