But the Russians can't afford to buy the gas to fly them.

You yankee imperialist stooges. You claim to be superior, but it is so
only because you capitalist goons have seized have siezed all good
resources in free world through blackmail and strong arm tactics.
How? A few examples: You make promises--then you break them
(Instructions Iraq Dictator (Hussien): "We will not intervene, we view
it as a regional conflict." State Dept instructions to April Glaspie
(US Amb. to Iraq) prior to Gulf War I.). You make treaty--then you break
treaty on numerous occasions to 'indians' (Indigenous tribal peoples).
You install government--then you overthrough government (Panama
[Noriega]).
You don't like governents, you overthrow governments. Where do I start?
Viet Nam? Iran? Iraq? Chile? Guatamala? Panama? Nicargua? El
Savador? Argentina? Brasil? The list goes on, but I am short of time.
If it exists, your deity frowns on your behavior.
I inherently like Americans, but I am seldom fond of their governments.
The world would 'like' and trust you more--if you 'helped' other nations
with no strings attached.

I think I would trust noone doing me a good turn, with no strings attached.
I would suspect they had a hidden agenda. Such thinking is how sociliasts
create permanent underclasses.

Da, Comrade. Soviet system, though superior, is terrible at sneakiness
and subterfuge. Incredible freedom of Socialist philosophy manifest in
the way it works so well in so many places.

Ah Tarver. It's all the fault of 'sociliasts', isn't it? Have you thought

Well, it's indeed so that in the West there is nobody as stupid as Castro to
go organizing "revolutions" all around the world, without requesting
anything in exchange...

Yes, there's definitely a "difference": the USA make treaties, then break
them. The Russians make treaties, then do not complete their part of the
deal...

Nice. Let us now make a qute little break-down of all the wonderful
dictatorships and all the sorts of oppressive regimes, as well as years-long
bloodsheeds supported and caused by the Soviet (i.e. Russian) communists:
- Afghanistan
- Albania
- Algeria
- Angola
- Burkina Faso
- Chad
- Congo & Congo-Zaire
- Cuba
- Guinea & Guinea-Bissau
- Ethiopia
- Eritrea
- Iraq
- Iran
- Libya
- Madagascar
- Mali
- Myanmar
- Nicaragua
- Nigeria
- North Korea
- Serbia
- Sudan (especially brutal Islamic regime, still massively supplied by
Russians with weapons, despite mass-murdering of over 2 millions of
civilians in the last 20 years)
- Syria
- Peru
- Tanzania
- Zambia
- Zimbabwe
- Yemen (you even supplied both, the North and South with weapons, and then
left them fight against each other in the 1980s, and again in the 1990s)
Isn't that a nice little list, showing how sincere and kind the Russians
are, and illustrating your wish for peace and stability?
At least it's certainly something you can be proud of... at least as much of
your "poets" going to Bosnia to shoot with Bosnian-Serbs at the people down
on the streets of Sarajevo... But, I'm sure some of you call this a
"poetry"...
> I inherently like Americans, but I am seldom fond of their governments.
That happens to many.
> The world would 'like' and trust you more--if you 'helped' other nations

Would you think the same can be said with the Russians?
How do you think I feel and think about Russia when somebody asks me to
spend few Euros for starving people of Ethiopia or Eritrea, while I know
that you're selling them Su-27s for $30 million apiece?
BTW, in the sence of your original message, about the US planes being a
"crap": could you offer us few figures so to reinforce your statement? I
mean, if the US planes are "crap", then it must be the Soviet/Russian planes
have shot down much more them in air combats since 1945 than the other way
around? Is that so?

He knew what he was getting into. He had pushed people around for forty
years, if anybody knew what it was like to be defeated, Saddam Hussein knew
what was coming. Nobody promised him a rose garden, just that he would be
buried in one if he didn't do what he was told. Like he buried so many
others.
