This has to be the most acitve and responsive threads in the history of this
NG. And it has only been around for about two weeks if that. I guess it goes
to the very core of widespread aviation interests generating passion, flames
as well as thoughtful gentlemanly responses. And it all started from one
simple post. (grin)

...and one or two simple answers. :)

I need to say thank's to -everyone- for the in-depth answering and
idea'ing. I'm certainly learning more about "flying" thank's to
the tips here (I've only had time to read a few though, trying to
catch up).

Tip for anyone who has trouble with currupt archives from
X-Plane's download pages: try to use something other than
Internet Explorer. Could be just here, but I found that it breaks
the archive for some odd reason -- using for instandce Opera7 it
worked with no problem.

On a curiosity note, it's interesting to take off with the SR-71
and then realising that the ramjet is about to kick in when you
get up to speed and altitude. :)
