Release No. 0218049 Feb 18, 2004

Air Force Crosses Into the Blue With New Bus Design Scheme

Washington, D.C. - Secretary of the Air Force Dr. James G. Roche and
Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. John P. Jumper will unveil the Air
Force's new bus wrap designs Feb. 19 9:30 a.m. at the River Entrance
of the Pentagon.

The program includes 10 base-owned buses used to transport service
members across the U.S. and around the local areas of Bolling AFB in
Washington, D.C.; Randolph AFB in San Antonio, Texas; the U.S. Air
Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Nellis AFB in Las Vegas,
Nev.

The graphics on the buses reflect the Air Force's flight mission and
demonstrate the diversity and breadth of careers within the Air Force.
Design images include the F/A-22, a pilot, special operations, a
surgeon, an honor guardsman and security forces. The recruiting web
site and phone number are also listed. Each bus has the same two
designs - one on each side.

Two of Bolling's four buses will be displayed at the unveiling.
Experts will also be on hand to answer project and recruiting
questions.

This test concept will last one year with the possibility to expand if
the project receives good public response and the shrink-wrap proves
to be durable.

Media who wish to attend the unveiling and/or require escorts should
contact Jackie Hampton, 703-697-4425 or Teanna Jones, 703-693-9088
