The distinctive sound of the UH-1H Huey helicopter was heard by the
crowd at Northridge High School on Thursday morning, long before the
bird with the jaunty yellow cap with a red feather on its front was
seen coming from the east.
A couple of minutes later, it roared over the stadium, banked to the
south, then made another pass the length of the football field before
sitting down on the 50-yard line facing the west stands.
