View Full Version : News Reporters' Interference in Military Ops...

Anyone know of good sources for highlighting how the news media sticks
their collective noses into so much of the military activities that
they screw up military ops? I'm especially interested in any
anecdotes specifically about the news blowing the lid off of military
deception plans during wartime. I'm looking for cite-able references.

Thanks much!
Max.

You are requesting only stories about military aviation, aren't you?

Look into Jerry River's ejection from Iraq by the 101st Airborne.

Try Geraldo Rivera.

Same Guy, but I like his real name.

LOL. I did see an editorial attributed to him, though, talking about
a recent return to Iraq (Baghdad, maybe) and being amazed at how much
progress had been made in building infrastructure and getting the
Iraqis on their feet. He blasted the media covering Iraq as being so
negative that they sat around and waited for bad things to happen to
the exclusion of noticing the good.

What military operation was disrupted? His violation was technical and
had no impact on ops.

Cheers.
