A new edition is forthcoming in the near future. Many commercial
gliderports offer this popular book, and they will appreciate your
support during the present economic downturn.

I read a friend`s copy a while back and now want my own. Do you know
when the new edition will be available? I will be glad to buy it from
you as I have used your service before with great results.

Let's hope the translation is better - I have a copy of the original
edition and it's a real chore to comprehend! "Fumulus", anyone?

That being said, it is an excellent source of information. Just needs
an native english-speaking glider pilot to assist with the translation
and editing, IMHO.

Ducking and running....

No need to duck and run... you are right on the money. I struggled
too

No need to duck and run. The German translation is even worse... despite
the listed three German editors in the imprint!

That said, if you are willing to pay a hefty price and dig your way
through a poorly structured, lousy edited and mediocrely manufactured
book, you'll find a lot of useful hints in there.

For a taste of the book, within the M-ASA Convector newsletter
archives from 2007 (March thru December), OC provides a good overview
of the 8 required skills for a competition pilot as cited by the
Brigliadoris.
