Yes, they can fly in the air and underwater, they are extremly dangerous !

The next model will be able to fly in orbit, too.

Of course, they are driven by nuclear fusion reactors !

Yeah, yeah. Supercar is sixties technology. The real
advance would be in making the marionettes' strings
invisible.

There's a new documentary about some of the people behind this amazing
new flight technology:

ROTFL. Man, you jogged some 40 year-old memories. I was more of a Fireball
XL-5 fan (I wonder how much my working plastic model Fireball XL-5 would be
worth now, if I still had it?), but I've been unable to get the Supercar opening
out of my head for the last 20 minutes or so.

There was some protoype USAF delta-wing jet in the early 50s that landed
on waterskid and then acted as a submarine down to 15 meters of water.

See: Convair XF2Y Sea Dart

Partly right, any Sea Dart submersions were unintentional and
going down 15 metres was a one shot trick :)

If it submerged to 15 meters, I think that was most likely an accident. :)

But what most people don't know because the documents have not been
de-classified yet is that all of the dual-use sub-aqua gas turbine
technology was invented by Nazi scientists and stolen by the US after
the war. There are even photographs of the engines been pulled out of
the test tank at Dora-Nordhausen.

You are seriously misinformed

The submarine turbine experiments involved the Walther
turbine. This was a STEAM turbine that worked by
the catalytic disassociation of high test peroxide,
4 Walther U-boats were built by the Kriegsmarine, the
SS were not involved.

Post war the technology was 'appropriated' by the British
who hired Dr Walther and his team to build the power
units for HMS Explorer and Excalibur.

They were NOT popular and less than succesful, their
crews nicknamed the boats excruciator and exploder.
Both had many problems and short service lives.

Modern submarines do NOT use gas turbines.

Errrrmmm... I have seen the hook line and sinker disappear but never
rod, reel, fighting chair and part of the transom as well. Perhaps it
was the added realism of the "Dora-Nordhausen" reference ?

Ok you got me but there are enough Luftwaffe 46 types around
here to make almost any post believable
