And what is this suppose to be? Photoshop or otherwise?
The mythical aurora?

It looks like someone's conception of what a stealth follow on to a F111
would be.

Even if if could take off a flight deck, it would look like it would be
dragging its ass if it tried to land on one. ;)

Close... but not photoshopped.

Bob, it was on a US carrier a couple months back, for a movie. Pretty good
looking prop, if a bit far fetched.

Its a very cool looking prop. If it not a national security issue, what
movie was it being used for?

Its hard to tell from that angle, but it does look like it could be
believable and fly. It look a lot cooler than the artist F22 or ATF
planes that were in the magazines before the f22 and the stealth came
out. Maybe the Skunk works is building props now.

Its for a movie called "Stealth" that comes out next year..plot sounds
like Knight Rider with jet planes.

From the configuration of the wing appendages (which look more like
trailing-edge flaps than leading-edge slats) and the positioning of the stars
and bars on top, I'd think this craft has an aft-mounted wing with canards.

Also reminds me of a few of those cockamamie Stavatti designs.

....it would appear to have VG wings similar to the Northrop

From an upcoming Columbia/TriStar movie titled "Stealth".

The movie is "Stealth" and it comes out 7/29/05. The aircraft was
filmed on the deck of the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln". The
aircraft is a "Talon" controlled by AI pilot who gets out of control
and starts to destroy stuff. Two other pilots are sent in to destroy
the aircraft.

After seeing the Northrop Grumman "Switchblade" pictures...

Close enough for a patent infringement lawsuit. And if the plot is
about a warplane AI going berzerk, and I were a bigwig at NG, I would
NOT be amused.

"Knight Rider with jet planes" probably ain't far off the mark, given
that the director/writer, Rob Cohen, was responsible for "Knight Rider
2010". He's better known recently for directing "The Fast and the
Furious" and "XXX", both movies with lots of testosterone and very
little plot. Oh yeah, and the *nudge* *wink* treatment of Skull & Bones,
everyone's favorite Yalie "secret society", "The Skulls" (2000).

Relax, in the movie the aircraft is a Boeing F/A-37 Talon. And its
configuration is NOT the same as the Switchblade if you see any 3-way
profiles of the Switchblade. A basic concept of a multi-sweep wing
isn't anything.

Then if I were at Cessna I'd sue them for stealing the designation for the A-37
Dragonfly counterinsurgency aircraft. :p

Cessna would be the wrong party to sue. It was USAF who assigned the
designation A-37.

Oh yeah, and there's lots more pictures dating from about mid-June (if
your news server archives that far back) over in
