Someone left a mess at CGX ! by
[email protected]
"Yes, I do want a park at Meigs Field," Daley said.
But there are questions about whether that's financially feasible.
CBS 2 poured through thousands of pages of city and state documents
obtained through the Freedom of Information Act. They detail the
history of pollution at the site.
We showed...

Another Cirrus Down by
Robert M. Gary
Some think so. The Cirrus is arguably marketed to the lowest time
pilots, those less likely to have an instrument rating. Unlike a Cessna
172, a Cirrus is fast enough to actually be used to go places quickly.
That combintation (good travel plane, designed for low time pilots) may
make it more...

Another Cirrus Down by

No. I think there are one or two others.
I think improved training has addressed most of the issues of the
issues associated with the rash of accidents shortly after the Cirrus
was introduced.
The Cirrus is a good plane. It had some problems during the early
years, but all of them have been...

Just an uneducated guess here, but based on other Cirrus accident
profiles this might be another VFR into IMC upset.
This is much more common with Cirruses?

Another Cirrus Down by

Just an uneducated guess here, but based on other Cirrus accident
profiles this might be another VFR into IMC upset. A quick check of the
database shows the pilot was a PPL with no IFR cert. If the chute had
been deployed in flight I suspect there should have been survivors even
if the plane was...

Aviation Business Idea by
Jay Honeck
Mary had this brainstorm the other day; I present it here for your
opinion...
Every Harley dealer in America seems to have their own custom-designed
T-shirt. Usually it's got the Harley-Davidson logo, combined with the local
dealer's name, and some recognizable symbol. Our local Harley shop has...

Big scare story by
Dallas
I was reading some of the older posts of this group and was highly
entertained by NW_Pilot's carburetor icing thread.
My guess is that all of the high time pilots have at least one "big scare
story" they might share... How about it, what was your scariest moment?

Clarity Aloft Question by
[email protected]
Has anyone tried using a cell/music adapter for this headset? I called
about upgrading to the new set they are offering, but it is $50 and I
lose my PTT switch to boot. The headset is listed as mono, so does that
mean that an adapter for stereo music wouldn't work?
Thanks for the help.

DVD of OSHKOSH 2005 by
Montblack
Is that EAA DVD of OSH 2005 any good?
I don't like the 30+ bucks, but what the heck. Same price + shipping as 16R.
My gal had a good thought. She said we'll get onesixright for us, but we
should get the Oshkosh DVD for friends and family (6 copies) - since I was
actually at Oshkosh and have never...

I wonder if anyone can answer a few questions I have regarding PMAed

Are the following statements true or false?
1/ If the part is PMAed and the airplane is in the eligibility list,
and the PMA was obtained by virtue of the...

No, not strickly speaking. Actual CAP missions are paid 100% by the

A taildragger incident today by
Peter R.
I experienced a bit of unneeded excitement today while preparing to fly
home that I thought would be of interest here.
A 2,500 foot November grey ceiling hung over the uncontrolled western NY
airport as I unloaded my luggage from the rental vehicle parked next to my
aircraft on the ramp. Suddenly...
