The recent edition of the US Air Force Museum's FRIEND'S JOURNAL has an

Block Allocation? by
AES/newspost
Listening to channel nine on UA 1225 Denver-Reno yesterday, I heard
something like:
"Denver Center, Jackpot 123, can we request a block allocation
for 39 to 41?"
and then
"Jackpot 123, Denver Center, block allocation 39 to 41 approved."

Night landings vs. day landings by
Gerald Sylvester
I got a strange thing going on. I got my license a couple of months
ago. My day landings are smooth but not the smoothest. I do them.
i don't myself, a passenger or the plane but sometimes not greasers.
my night landings, every one of them, I can grease them in. Shouldn't
it be the opposite? I...

BBS??? Weekly Chat??? Anybody up for it??? by
Jim Weir
Hey, gang...
Well, the Avionics BBS over on Yahoo was a spectacular failure. We had five
posts in six months and we just let the board go away. There was a problem,
though, that even as the administrator I found getting TO the board to be a
royal pain in the tush.
However, I get 8-10 posts a...

Teacherjh
About a month ago I flew out of JFK and saw an ElAl aircraft parked near the
intersection of Alpha and Juliet (and Bravo and Kilo) taxiways, near he
intersection of runway 4L/22R and 31L/13R. It was surrounded by a structure of
gantries and wires that surrounded the aircraft.
Anybody have any...

Ace Pilot
The FAA is expecting to publish its final rule covering Light Sport
Aircraft, Sport Pilots, and the training and repair requirements
sometime this year. I'm wondering what impact this rule will have on
traffic pattern operations at non-towered airports.
Most non-towered airports have a single...

We wave a guy who recently has been disabled by an accident. He still loves
to fly and now we're looking to adjust one of our two seat gliders for him.
Has anyone some experience how to adjust a glider for that. Does anyone has
some blue prints to give us some ideas.
We're especially...
