King Survey by
Mike Granby
I just completed a survey from the Bendix-King pilot's club wherein I
was asked about my interested in two hypothetical products -- an
integrated 5" WAAS GPG and NAVCOM with traffic, terrain and weather,
and a 3" standalone WAAS GPS with traffic terrain and weather. Looks
like they've still not...

OSH oil filter special vs internet by
Jim Burns
Several people at OSH had told me about the $1.00 rebate offer that Champion
had when you bought oil filters from Wag Aero. At the time WA's price was
$16.85. I pondered the math on this and decided against carting around a
case of oil filters and knew I was getting nearly as good of a deal...

Cherokee Pilots Association Fly-In This weekend by
Jay Honeck
Anyone else going this weekend? It's held annually at Tan-Tar-A
resort, in Osage Beach, MO, and has rapidly become our favorite fly-in
of the season. Last year they had around 200 Cherokees fly in, and it
was a really great time!
This year they've got Chuck Suma, president of New Piper, as...

Piper seats by
Dave
Hi All!
Our "new" Warrior has those "Hydraulic" seat height adjusters.
We would like to service them, as they only hold in the
bottom half of their range, won't hold the seat up to the top of the
height travel...
Anyone know what service/ fluid/adjustment/parts are needed?

Side window install by
Jim Burns
As our Aztec was down due to a leaky prop seal, we began the install of our
new 1/4" side windows. After removing the plastic surround trim and mapping
the screws, because they were several different sizes and lengths, we then
had to remove the window retainers. The retainers are basically some...

Rheostat Audio Interference by
Jonathan Goodish
This evening, I noticed a problem with the nav/instrument lighting and
panel intercom in my Cherokee that I haven't noticed before. The nav
lights and internal instrument lights (I have KX170Bs, KMA20 audio
panel, etc.) work just fine. The problem is that when I turn the
rheostat up so that the...

Emergency Landing today by
Ron Rosenfeld
Took off from KASH this morning and, shortly after take-off, noted that my
oil pressure indicator was jittery -- usually it's pretty steady but today
the needle was a bit jumpy. Wanting to believe it due to a gauge
malfunction, I pressed on for a bit while trying to figure out what kind of
gauge...

GX50 datacard by
Jimmy B.
I have an Apollo (now Garmin AT) GX50 GPS. The data card failed last
week. It will not take a program. I use Jeppesen's skybbound service
for updates.
Now, the card is a Linear 4 Mb Flash Disk.
Garmin wants $153 for a replacement card but these cards can be bought
anywhere for $60.
Does anyone...

Long time reader selling plane by
Doug
I started reading these aviation newgroups in 1999 when I learned to
fly. I bought my Husky and have put over 2000 hours on it in 5 1/2
years. It is time for me to move on to other pursuits (I am playing my
guitar and involved in some other great activities). I don't really
know if I will continue...

PA28-180 Power Contactor Relay source? by
Mike Noel
I've been trying to find this part on-line without much luck. It is listed
in the Piper parts manual as 455151 but also referred to as 6041H105A. It's
the relay mounted along side the battery box. My Archer has been cranking
rather slowly even after replacing a dying G-35 with a new RG-35AXC...
