intergrandular corrosion of wing spar by
ChrisH
My A&P has dignosed this condition on my 1964 (Piper)PA28-140. Has
anyone dealt with this? Can the wings be repaired or rebuilt? Is there
a good source for spare wings? I'm in North Carolina.
Thanks,
Chris Hight

air/oil separator by
Jay Honeck
M20 or Airwolf?
They each attack each other on their websites.
M20 need 2 different units with a wet vac pump - which I have.
Airwolf needs only one unit.
Although I've been happy with my M20, it sounds like the Airwolf makes more
sense with a wet vacuum pump.

Cleaning bugs - the real secret by
Maule Driver
First, thanks everyone for past posts on cleaning agents, corrosion,
polish etc.
The weather has been so outrageously nice in North Carolina since
Christmas that I finally ran out of excuses to wash the plane. It's
still hard to put shorts on in mid-January despite mid-70 temperatures.
So, I...

What was he/she doing? No radio, by
NW_PILOT
Went out to the airport this morning about 1:00 am to top off my tanks,
there was an aircraft on the runway it looked like super cub or something
with big tires practicing either high-speed taxiing on the runway or
simulated engine outs and bouncing? I turned on my scanner to find out what
he was...

Garmin - Jeppesen Flitestar Connection by
gwengler
I know this has been discussed here before but I'm still not able to
connect my Garmin III Pilot to the Jeppesen FliteStar program I have
on my laptop. The problem of course is the serial-USB adapter which I
have to use since modern laptops do not have old style serial
connections anymore. If...

Speedbrakes for a Bonanza: Opinions? by
Peter R.
With my Bonanza about to roll out of maintenance with its new
(overhauled) engine, I have been considering ways to preserve that
investment.
Recently, I came across an article discussing speedbrakes and was
wondering if anyone here has experience with speedbrakes in a small
aircraft.
I see the...

Buying a used home-built? by
Jay Honeck
It seems that there are some remarkable deals out there for 200 mph used
Glasairs, but I would hesitate to buy one simply because I wouldn't trust
the workmanship.
What's the consensus on this issue? Is this a valid fear, or -- as some
have told me -- does the workmanship on the average...

There's oil in them engines by
[email protected]
Hey folks, I am going to ferrying an airplane from Florida to Virginia next
week. This airplane has a Lycoming O-360 and is now using 100 weight oil.
The airplane is going to stay in Virginia for several months.
Question 1:
To the pilots that fly in this, or similar areas, would you...

Replacing fuel cut-off valve with non-a/c part??? by
Michael Horowitz
Folks -
I have a '46 Taylorcraft with a leaking fuel cut-off valve. I suspect
the valve stem packing is causing the problem. As this is the third
time I"ve had to address a seep with this original valve, I'd like to
replace it. I believe a ball type valve from the local hardware store
would do the...

Cherokee ammeter revisted by
Leo
At the suggestion of several on this group I found the problem of a
swinging ammeter on my warrior to be the alternator switch. Now I need
a new switch. To get a new switch I need a part number, as always.
Now I need a suggestion for a vendor for both a part number manual and
a vendor for the...
