Looking for the old Glasflugel Logo by
fcuk'n
Happy 2005 all,
Does anyone have a decent image of the 'old' GLASFLUGEL logo?
It's a stylised dragonfly sitting a top a triangular base. Always liked that logo.
TIA

Desert Sailplane storage by
Charles McLaurin
I just moved from Virginia where my glider was stored
inside a hangar to El Paso, Texas. For the time being,
I will have to store it in my enclosed trailer outside.
I own a fiberglass Concept70 with metal flaps. Any
of you desert flyers have any tips, warnings, suggestions
about storage.

Looking for a good photo of a 1-35 or 1-36 by
Tony Burton
The next issue of the Canadian soaring magazine "free flight" will have
a history of Schweizer glider production.
To fill one hole, I need a good representative photograph of either a
1-35 or a 1-36. Airborne would be nice. If you can help please send a
jpg or tif hi res file direct to my e-mail...

Soaring in Alaska by
keithw
If soaring in Alaska is anything like soaring in the mountains in Canada
it must be incredible. And I bet they get some good wave flying days
there as well.

2-33 trivia, what US states... by
Mark James Boyd
OK, for you guys that love 'em or hate 'em.
If you hate Schweizer 2-33s, go to Arkansas, North Dakota, or Louisiana.
There aren't any registered in these states.
If you love 'em, come to California, with
36 of them!
And for the "I'd love to hear THIS guy's story" drumroll

Daughter (15) solo in family PW-6 by
Charles Yeates
Rod Morris of Calgary, AB, mentioned in his Christmas letter ---
By the way Kenna (15) went solo this year and instead of asking for the

B-100 PC application by
[email protected]
Newbie question -
Does anyone know of a PC application that is a demo / tutorial on the
B-100?
A search of the web for B-100 gave me
http://www.vkini.com/vkini_b-100.htm. Good stuff, but not applicable
to sailplanes.
Thanks,

Dittle FSG50-wiring by
[email protected]
We have a Dittle FSG50 in one of our sailplanes. It is equipped with a
hand mic and we would like to put in a boom mic and a push to talk
switch. Does anyone know the pin outs for these?
Thanks!

Christmas presents by
[email protected]
I received an emergency land-out kit from my crew for Christmas. It
includes the following vital supplies:-
A beer.
2 chocolate bars.
A box of matches (the wait may be long and cold - or destroy the
aircraft to prevent it falling into the hands of the enemy).
An old pair of underpants (to replace...

More CFIG's (USA) by
Burt Compton
More SSA members / More CFIG's. It's kinda like the chicken and the egg.
If your club (or Commercial Soaring Operation) needs more CFIG's - consider
sponsoring a couple of candidates to attend a Soaring Safety Foundation (SSF)
Flight Instructor Clinic (FIRC). Non-CFIG's are invited to register...
