Paul Gaines (Gaines Sailplane-Composite Solutions) in Marietta, Georgia has a
very skinny fiber-optic scope that will run the entire length of the wing.
If you have need,
call Paul at (770) 499 7755
Inspections are now in progress.

ASK21 vs G103 by
solo89
In a few weeks I'll take my check ride in an ASK21. All of my training
to date has been in a G103.
The examiner told me the ASK is a lot like the Grob just better.
any advice?
I'm a little concerned about taking my check ride in a glider I've
never seen, but not overly concerned. The performance...

Eppler airfoils by
Dave Kuchenbecker
Where can I find information about the Eppler e662 airfoil.
Specifically if adding winglets improves its performance. Secondly if
the Grob 104 wing is structurally capable of supporting winglets.
Thanks

Winglet Alternative? by
mike fadden
Has anyone seen the winglet alternative that is a slotted tube that
goes on the wing tip? I can't remember the name (Minix?) or what site
I saw it on. I believe its being tested in France and the designer
made pretty impressive claims. I was wondering what you winglet
designers think.

Tire Stiffness & trailer swaying by
chris
Several people have had good luck towing a glider with a Subaru
Forester.
I do not know why mine is different.
I just bought a 2004 Forester tried to tow with it. Mine is a
nightmare. It is unstable above 50mph. It has a lot of side to side
sway above 50mph if there is any steering input. It is...

I would appreciate if you can write a SHORT paragraph about why soaring (and

I enjoy soaring because it is for me the most interesting form of aviation.

Hi All,
Took my first flight in a glider last week and had a blast. I want to
do it again and learn more about soaring. I'm a quadraplegic but the
organization "Freedoms Wings" in PA, USA has specially equipped
gliders. I've attached a pic (hope it makes it) and was wondering if

RS-15 Flap/Gear Actuation System by
Wayne Paul
Several weeks ago (maybe months ago) Doug sent me some pictures of his
unique flap and gear actuation systems.

Does anyone recognize the source of flap screw jack drive or the gear drive?
