comments on displays by
cuflyer
Okay, my spare iPaq just crashed on me. I'm down to one to count on.
Time to do something this winter. I know there have been discussions, but as of today, what is the best choice of an -available- display I can run Winpilot on and plug into my 302? A ClearNav is not in my budget.
Thx,
Tim

Flying with hawks by
[email protected]
Sunday was a beautiful soaring day here in the northeast. Raptors are beginning to fly south and I was fortunate enough to share three different thermals/cloud streets with kettles of what I believe were red tails. There were only 15-20 in each, small as these things go, but still a wonderful...

Becker AR4201 mic question by
Don[_4_]
I have an AR4201 that I have always used with a dynamic boom mic and I
swapped it with an AR4201 wired for a standard mic in another glider.
After sliding it in the box it receives fine and the mic keys the radio,
but I'm not getting any transmit audio. Any ideas what adjustments or
software...

Gifts from heaven? by
Steve Leonard[_2_]
Our club was sort of looking for another 2-33, and BAM! One showed up at Sunflower today. Thanks to whoever dropped it off. We have taken it off the trailer and started going through it to make sure it is airworthy. I think it is N33993. BTW, we are not a 501c3, so you can't claim it as a...

Nice flight in the NG-1 yesterday by
Tony[_5_]
I've had the NG-1 out a few times this year, including last weekend here in Wichita where Matt Michael had a short flight in it on Saturday and I flew it on Sunday, also for a short flight. I was still looking forward to a day where we spent more time flying than rigging & de-rigging. Yesterday was...

Good/bad experiences with Tow Vehicle Syndicates? by
son_of_flubber
I own a very fuel efficient car (40+ mpg) that handles the long drive to the airport at minimal cost. But my fuel efficient car is not suitable for towing a glider trailer... especially if I have to tow the trailer out of a muddy field.
So if I buy a glider, do I need to trade in my very small...

New PNA ...at least to me by
[email protected]
Anyone have experience with the Vertica V2?
http://www.verticasports.com/shop/v2-flight-instrument/
Wonder if it exactly the same as the new Oudie with the bright screen. If so it certainly will help interest in WinPilot Pro,XCSoar, LX8000, StrePla, and et al

Aerobatics in semi acrobatic certified sailplanes by
jams
Hi all,
I have recently become interested in gliding and have been exploring the aspects associated with the sport.
I'm going to use the term 'standard glider' to represent any non-acro 15m glider, (ASW 19/20, Speed Astir, LS range, DG range, PIK20D etc) not standard class.
I recently started...

Flight Manual In The Cockpit by
Dan Marotta
There's no room in my LAK's cockpit for manuals but yesterday I came up with
the perfect solution for my situation:
I downloaded the manuals (POH, Weight & Balance, Radio, and Transponder) as
PDF files and copied them to my PDA (a Dell Streak in my case).
Now, with the touch of a finger, I have...

PF Portable and Flarmnet by
Andy[_1_]
As most will know by now the PowerFLARM Portable does not support
Flarmnet. Currently the benefits of Flarmnet cannot be realized
unless a Flarmnet compatible external display is used with the
portable.
Will FLARM please comment on when this feature will be added.

LX Zeus and PowerFLARM Brick by
Gabriel Duford
Hello,
Has Anyone connected a PowerFLARM Brick in a LX Zeus?
I'm also curious to hear about experience with the LX Zeus. It doesn't seem to be widely used. The LX9000 is everywhere, but the Zeus? Documentation (manual) is also very poor for the Zeus compared to the LX9000.
Thanks,
gabriel
