Butterfly vario info by
[email protected]
Does this mean Butterfly Aero is closer to releasing their new vario? When the IGC approves the PowerFlarm data logger this should be a very powerful combo. As expensive as it is, it better work as good as it looks on paper and not have any issues. ...

What's it like to fly a SGS 1-26 'out west' (say Moriarty New Mexico)? by
son_of_flubber
I've had great fun flying an SGS 1-26 in New England. What's a 1-26 like in the stronger conditions that are more typical 'out west' (say Moriarty New Mexico). I'd especially like to hear from anyone who has flown the 1-26 both east and west USA.
I've kept the 1-26 up for nice long flights close...

Friction in Janus C aileron control by
Grider Pirate[_2_]
The Janus C I'm flying has a lot of friction in the aileron control,
when it gets cold. I've been through all the linkages in the fuselage,
and none are likely suspects. In the desert heat, before takeoff and
on tow, the ailerons work smoothly and easily, with very little
friction (feels about...

ASW27 vs 27b? by
[email protected]
Can anyone comment on any differences in performance and handling between the early and later models of the 27? I've read the winglet was enlarged on the b--does that make much difference?
thanks,
Key

2 pack replacement for Schwarbelak by
Basil Fairston
Now that Schwarbelak gel coat is no longer manufactured, has anyone
found a good match in 2-pack paint. RAL 9010 is too grey and I don't
want to get a non-standard match as you have to buy a litre minimum
and I am only doing a small patch.

Stuck on a youtube journey and found this video of a young pilot's first solo. I can't chew gum and walk so I can't imagine doing on my first solo. Good job! :)

Standard Cirrus PowerFLARM mount by
Tony[_5_]
On Sunday I saw 2 regional airliners and King Air inbound to Wichita. Has anyone come up with a PowerFLARM mounting solution for a Std. Cirrus that won't get me on the Hall of Shame? Not enough space on top of the glare shield to keep the antennas straight. Thanks!

The bird seems to enjoy flying with the glider and does not seem to be agressive.

Wanted: Cambridge Model 25 GPS-NAV by
Thomas Johnson[_3_]
I'm looking for a Cambridge
model 25 GPS-NAV "brick".
Just the Model 25 if possible.
I really don't need all the other
parts of the system as I have them,
but I will consider a complete
system if cheap enough.
Thanks, TJ thojohnson at frontier dot com
